Let’s ride!

Brought to you by Lander’s local cycling nonprofit, we’ve been sharing the joy of the ride at the foothills of the Wind River Range since 2008! Our club is all about celebrating our incredible local terrain and connecting the riding community at large. We believe in making cycling accessible to ALL riders, regardless of your age, your ability, or the kind of bike you roll on.

At the Lander Cycling Club, we strive to create a cycling-friendly culture through grant-funded projects and volunteer power. Everyone is welcome in our pack!

Since 2008 The Lander Cycling Club has been Sharing the Joy of Cycling with the Community! We want to make it easier for riders of all ages and abilities to get out there and ride! We believe that bikes represent freedom and provide endless opportunities for connection. Everyone is welcome!

OUR GOALS FOR JURASSIC CLASSIC

Trail development

Give back to your trail systems by contributing a little sweat before riding at JBR on Sunday. Funds raised from the festival directly benefit the growth of our trails and cycling efforts made by our very own Lander Cycling Club.

learn new skills

Every year we provide opportunities to improve upon MTB skills via skills clinics with certified instructors and casual group rides with folks who built and know the goods in the area. We want to continue providing an economic boost to our community by opening doors for locals and visitors.

fun for all

Enjoy live music under the stars, join group rides for all ages and abilities, meet likeminded riders, shuttle our best section of downhill with new friends and neighbors, and play games! We love sharing the joy of biking with the community!

History of the Jurassic Classic

The Jurassic Classic shifted gears in 2016, evolving from a standard race into a full-blown mountain bike festival. We realized that while racing is fine, a massive party on wheels is even better. We’ve dialed in the festive atmosphere with more games, clinics, and a healthy dose of ridiculousness for everyone brave enough to join the prehistoric fun 🦖.

While we don't take ourselves too seriously, we are incredibly serious about our mission. We work tirelessly to maintain trails we love and get the next generation moving. Beyond putting Strider Bikes in elementary schools and providing/maintaining 28 mountain bikes for the middle school, we are pedaling even further this summer. We’re launching free community mini clinics and group rides, while also training a fresh crew of talented locals to become mountain bike instructors. We want to ensure our local cycling scene never goes extinct 🦴.

At the end of the day, having fun is our top priority. Every time you laugh at a silly competition or sharpen your skills, you’re supporting the Lander Cycling Club. This festival is our way of raising funds needed to keep the magic alive and the wheels turning. Thanks for being part of the legend 🚲!

We’ve been perfecting the fun for years. bring your friends and join the party!
